Where you’ll be
Renovated in summer 2021
The apartment is located in the La Mongie Tourmalet residence, right at the foot of the slopes. The shopping gallery offers a supermarket, ski shops, lift pass sales, and restaurants. This apartment is perfect for families, groups of friends, or couples.
With a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and three sleeping areas, we’ve done our best to modernize it and make it comfortable for you! And the balcony is a great bonus to fully enjoy the surroundings.
This is a “large” mountain apartment (47 m²), and we also provide access to part of the storage room located opposite the apartment (ideal for bikes or ski equipment), as well as a ski locker one floor below.
The apartment includes a spacious main room with kitchen area, sleeping areas, a bedroom, storage space, a bathroom, and a separate toilet.
In detail:
- The kitchen has been opened onto the living room to create more space and is fully equipped: induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, extractor hood, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, raclette and fondue sets… and all the necessary dishes and equipment for two full sets of 8 people. The idea is for you to worry as little as possible about dishes during your stay!
- The main room features a large extendable table for up to 8 guests, a sofa, and a TV. On the right side, there is a sleeping area with a 140 cm bed. These sleeping areas — along with the sofa bed — can be separated by curtains to provide a bit of privacy.
- The bedroom includes two sets of bunk beds (4 single beds), making it perfect for children, friends, or anyone you choose!
- There is also a utility/laundry area, very practical for extra equipment (high chair, toilet reducer, children’s tableware, etc.) or luggage; storage units with games and books; a bathroom with hooks for everyone; and a separate toilet.
- Finally, the 5-meter-long balcony allows you to fully enjoy the outdoor view. We also kindly ask smokers to smoke outside.
We may not be able to check… but it’s much nicer for everyone 😉 During the renovation, we also added plenty of power outlets and lighting to make the apartment more modern and comfortable. You will also have access to the large storage room opposite the apartment and the ski locker on the ground floor, so you don’t have to keep damp ski equipment inside.
Guest access
You can easily unload your belongings by parking at the foot of the residence upon arrival and departure. During your stay, you are invited to park your car in the large parking area located 250–300 meters away, which is easy to access.
In winter, chances are you won’t need to use your car at all 😉 — everything is available within the residence (supermarket, lift passes, etc.).
When you enter the building, the common areas may not be the most “stylish,” but we do everything we can to ensure you feel comfortable inside the apartment — and you are right on the slopes! And that is pure joy.
For little ones
To make your trip easier and lighten your luggage, we provide: a travel cot, changing mat, potty, toilet seat reducer, as well as colorful plates, cups, and cutlery for young children.
Cleaning
We ask all guests to carry out a minimum level of cleaning.
During the winter season, we also use an independent company for an additional inventory and inspection service. This company can also offer extra services if needed.
Upon arrival, you will find a small welcome kit (sponge, dishwashing liquid, 1 roll of toilet paper, cloth, coffee filter, garbage bag, etc.).
Bed linen & towels
Duvets and pillows are provided. Before your arrival, we will send you practical information to help you prepare your stay, including details about the required bed linen and towels. If you prefer not to bring your own, our concierge partner can provide them (approximate prices: €20 for a single bed and €30 for a double bed).
Check-in & check-out
Arrival and departure times vary depending on the season: From December 1st to March 31st: check-in after 4:00 PM, check-out before 10:00 AM From April 1st to November 30th: check-in after 2:00 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM Check-in is semi-autonomous, but we remain available and use a simple online check-in/check-out system. Nothing complicated — you’ll see, it works very smoothly! Thank you for your understanding.

Getting around
Getting around -
Walking is the best option — everything is so close. In winter, the idea is simple: park your car and forget about it. In summer, it’s a bit different. While many hikes start from La Mongie, you’ll probably want — and rightly so — to explore the surrounding area.
Getting to La Mongie
By car:
You can stop at the bottom of the building to unload, then park in the designated parking area.
Approximate travel times:
- 2h20 from Toulouse
- 3h15 from Bordeaux
- 1h30 from Pau
- 6h30 from Nantes (with a break!) and about 8h from Douarnenez
By train:
The nearest stations are Tarbes or Lourdes, with bus connections to Barèges or La Mongie.
- 2h30 from Bordeaux
- 4h45 from Paris Montparnasse to Lourdes
By plane:
The nearest airport is Tarbes (about 1 hour by car).
By bus:
There is a direct line from Tarbes, and from the airport in winter. Look for departmental lines 960 and 962. More information is available on the La Mongie tourist office website.
Winter shuttle services run daily from Bagnères to La Mongie until the resort closes. Fare: €2 per trip (€4 return), tickets available on the shuttle or at the tourist office.
Additional shuttles from Tarbes via Bagnères also run daily to La Mongie at the same fare.
Neighborhood
About the residence
La Mongie-Tourmalet residence is the iconic residence of the resort. In recent years, (new) owners have been actively working to improve it.
Its location at the foot of the slopes is a major advantage, and it is only 1 km from the village of La Mongie. You are at the foot of the Col du Tourmalet, near the Pic du Midi, close to Barèges, and within the municipality of Bagnères-de-Bigorre (with its thermal baths just 25 minutes away).
The real strength of this “residence-village” lies in its on-site services: supermarket, ski passes, ski shops, restaurants, etc.
For cycling enthusiasts, you are so close to the Tourmalet that you can climb it from both sides!
